KNOTENSTIRNBAND

Mein erstes Stricktutorial auf YouTube

KNOTTED HEADBAND

My first knitting tutorial on YouTube

Liebe Strickcommunity,

Alles Liebe ♥

Der knitting community,

People keep asking me if I would like to show a tutorial in addition to my podcast on YouTube. How I knit my socks, how I do my increases or weave in ends. So I ventured on this adventure and filmed step by step how to knit a knotted headband. And this tutorial will go online tomorrow about noon. It's in German but I think as it is a video, it will show you everything you need to knit the headband. Especially as there is also a pattern for download available in English, too:

Knotenstirnband / Knotted HeadbandFirst and foremost, the tutorial is intended to be for absolute knitting beginners. But also experienced knitters will have fun with it, because the knotted headband is knitted quickly and easily with thick yarn and therefore the perfect project for in-between, stash clean-up or even to make a last minute gift.

In addition to the tutorial, the knotted headband pattern will also be available in my shop tomorrow. For all of you who prefer to knit according to instructions in paper form. This one goes into more detail about gauge and length and sizes (two included in the pattern). I recommend you should still watch the video to see how the headband is sewn together in the end to create the knot.

This is really a step by step tutorial. It explains how to cast on stitches, how to knit the stitch pattern, how to bind off, how to sew it together and how to weave in the ends.

The headband is knitted with thick wool. My version was knitted from less than 50g of the Merino 100% aran in the colour Caramel Camel and used my HiyaHiya Interchangeables size 4.5mm (US 7). If you want to use scraps, look in yout stash for yarn with about 200m per 100g.

There is a lot of work in the tutorial as well as in the pattern. That's why I'm all the more happy to receive feedback. Please leave a comment on YouTube and write a few words under the video if you liked the tutorial or if you could recommend it to a knitting beginner. This is the only way to increase my reach on YouTube and thus my motivation to make more videos like this for you. Therefore: Thank you in advance!

Do you have any requests for further tutorials, suggestions or criticism? You can also reach me by email at any time: service@schibotgarne.de

And now I wish you a nice start into the week and don't forget to visit my YouTube channel tomorrow.

All the best ♥

Nadine
