Meine kreativen Abenteuer im März

Über Oberteile, Socken und Quadrate. Und ich habe ein bisschen genäht.

My creative adventures in March

About tops, socks and squares. And I did some sewing.

Sewing

Hallo meine Lieben,

Hello everyone,

March went by incredibly fast, didn't it? Before I tell you what projects I've been working on this month, let me remind you: Today is the last chance to get the Easter Surprise! Also, tomorrow my newsletter will be sent out as usual at the beginning of the month, in which I will tell the subscribers about my plans for the month ;)

As for Easter, I do have a very spring-like decoration this year. Already last month I told you about the little knitted rabbits. I also made a table runner and six mug rugs out of leftover fabric. You must know, sewing is still a book with seven seals for me and I am very proud every time I get something finished ;)

But I am also proud of my new top :) Actually I wanted to knit a completely different top with the Silky BFL Lace in the colourways Finsternis and Midnight Hour. Unfortunately there were so many mistakes in the pattern that I had to give up. I wanted a project where I didn't have to think much.

So I got the Tegna by Caitlin Hunter. I like many of this designer's patterns, but I especially liked Tegna with its beautiful lace border. You actually need fingering weight yarn for this, but since I knit the top with a double thread of two lace yarns, I was able to reach gauge well. The two skeins were completely sufficient for my size. I didn't make many changes. It's simply a well written pattern.

If you are interested in more details, please visit my Ravelry project page ;) Now, in less than three weeks, I have knitted a beautiful top that looks noble thanks to the silk content and is perfect for the summer transition period. I really like to wear it - it goes especially well with a summer dress ;)

Alles Liebe,

Nadine

I also got a pair of simple sneaker socks done. I knitted them with the Soft Socks in the new colourway Hiding Place. For such short socks you don't even need 40g - the perfect project for the season. Quick and useful ;))

As far as the new 24 colourways are concerned, I now have completed all the sample swatches. I'm glad I've been through this, because to be honest it's quite boring to knit them. But I'm happy that I got so much feedback that you think it's great when you can see how the yarn can look knitted up. From time to time I will probably continue to knit small samples for you in the future.

That's it, I didn't do any more crafty things. But hey, a complete top is something, isn't it? I hope your March was inspiring and you are already busy planning your April projects ;) Have a wonderful Sunday!

All the best,

Nadine
