Hallo meine Lieben,

endlich ist es so weit! An dieser Anleitung habe ich knapp ein Jahr gearbeitet und nun freue ich mich, dass ich sie euch endlich anbieten kann! Erstmal ein riesengroßes Dankeschön an meine Teststrickerinnen! Ohne euch, hätte ich es nicht geschafft!

Diejenigen von euch, die meinen Newsletter abonniert haben, wissen ja schon, dass ich der Veröffentlichung dieser Anleitung entgegen fiebere. Jetzt möchte ich mir etwas Zeit nehmen und euch ein bisschen mehr dazu erzählen.

Den Begriff dipsy-doodle habe ich vor einigen Monaten aufgeschnappt. Er beschreibt die Bewegung beim Hockey die man macht, um um verteidigende Spieler herumzukommen. Der Ausdruck gefiel mir sehr und ich wollte unbedingt etwas dazu designen, das diese Bewegung wiederspiegelt und entschied mich aus diesem Grund für einen großen, kuscheligen Schal mit einem Wellenlochmuster.

Gestrickt habe ihn mit meiner Merino 100% DK in den Farben Whisper, Finsternis und Kiss me. Das Muster ist sehr einfach zu stricken und definitiv auch für Anfänger geeignet. Mit rechten und linken Maschen, Umschlägen und verschiedenen Abnahmen entsteht das Wellenmuster. Der Wechsel der Farben sorgt dafür, dass beim Stricken keine Langeweile aufkommt. Es ist ein schönes einfaches Projekt und das Ergebnis is beeindruckend!

Doch die Anleitung besteht nicht nur aus dem Schal! Mit der Wolle, die euch von diesem Projekt übrig bleibt, könnt ihr euch auch noch passende fingerlose Handschuhe stricken. Für Dipsy Doodle braucht man drei Farben und ich weiß selbst, dass es gar nicht so einfach ist, sich zu entscheiden, da es einfach zu viele schöne Kombinationen gibt! Weil ich euch eine möglichst große Auswahl anbieten möchte, habe ich insgesamt 25 (!) verschiedene Färbungen für euch gefärbt (siehe Bild unten). Die Möglichkeiten sind schier unendlich und ich bin so gespannt, wie euer Dipsy Doodle aussehen wird!

Finally! I worked on this pattern for almost a year and now I am happy to finally be able to offer it to you! First of all a big thank you to my test knitters! Without you, I would not have managed it!

Those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter already know that I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of this pattern. Now I'd like to take some time and tell you a little bit more about it.

I first heard the term dipsy-doodle a few months ago. It describes a move in hockey to get around defending players. I really liked the word and wanted to design something to reflect this movement and so I decided to make a huge, cuddly scarf with a wavy lace pattern.

I knitted it with my Merino 100% DK in the colours Whisper, Finsternis and Kiss me. The pattern is very easy to knit and definitely suitable for beginners. The lace pattern is created by knitting and purling, some yarn overs and various decreases. The change of colours ensures that you won't get bored while knitting it. It is a nice mindless project and the result is stunning!

But the pattern does not only consist of the scarf! With the yarn left over from this project you can also knit a pair of fingerless mitts. If you get the pattern, you will get four pdf-files: The instructions for the Dipsy Doodle Scarf, the instructions for the Dipsy Doodle Mitts and both of them in German as well as in English. For Dipsy Doodle you need three colours and I know for myself that it is not so easy to decide, because there are too many beautiful combinations! Because I would like to offer you as large a selection as possible, I have dyed a total of 25 (!) different colourways for you (see picture below). The possibilities are endless and I am so curious how your Dipsy Doodle will look like!

 

 

 

Aber halt, das war noch immer nicht alles! Denn Dipsy Doodle kann man auch mit dünnerer Wolle stricken und zwar mit meinen Soft Socks. An dieser Version hat eine meiner lieben Teststrickerinnen gearbeitet, weshalb es an dieser Stelle nochmal ein ganz großes Dankeschön gibt!

Hier seht ihr, dass einem bei der Farbwahl wirklich keine Grenzen gesetzt sind. Da Grün und Lila meine Lieblingsfarben sind, werde ich diesen Winter über wohl ständig in diesen Schal eingekuschelt sein und die passenden Handstulpen dazu tragen :) Im Shop findet ihr die Anleitung hier: Dipsy Doodle Scarf & Mitts (Soft)

Für diese Variante wurde neben Wizard und Don't be shy meine diesjährige Clubfärbung Celebration verwendet. Da es sich dabei um eine exklusive Färbung nur für Clubmitglieder handelte, ist diese nicht mehr verfügbar. Eine gute Alternative ist aber Provence, die sehr gut zu dem Grün und Lila passt.

Selbstverständlich habe ich auch hierfür Wolle gefärbt und obwohl es auf den Soft Socks nur fünf Färbungen sind, sehr ich auf Anhieb schon wieder drei hübsche Farbkombos :)

Zuletzt beantworte ich noch eine wichtige Frage: Wann geht das Shopupdate online?

Dieses Mal habe ich die Funktionen in meinem Shop genutzt. Wolle und Anleitungen sind jetzt zwar schon sichtbar, sind aber aber automatisch ab dem 14. November verfügbar. Das heißt, alles geht um Mitternacht (deutsche Zeit) online. Ich habe wirklich viel gefärbt und denke nicht, dass ihr leer ausgehen werdet. Sollte es aber dennoch so sein, dass etwas nicht mehr auf Lager ist, dann wisst ihr ja, dass es auch Auftragsfärbungen gibt ;)

But wait, that's not all! Dipsy Doodle can also be knitted with thinner yarn, my Soft Socks. One of my dear test knitters worked on this version, which is why I'd like to take this opportunity to thank her here once again!

Here you can see that there are really no limits to the choice of colours. Since green and purple are my favorite colours, I will be cuddled up in this scarf all the time this winter and wear the matching mitts of course :) In the shop you can find the instructions here: Dipsy Doodle Scarf & Mitts (Soft)

For this version besides Wizard and Don't be shy also this year's club colourway Celebration was used. Since this one was an exclusive colourway only for club members, it is no longer available. A good alternative is Provence, which goes very well with the green and purple.

Of course I also dyed yarn for the Soft Socks version and although there will only  be five colours on my Soft Socks base, I very much like three pretty colour combinations right away :)

Finally I answer an important question: When will the shop update go online?

This time I used some functions in my shop. Yarn and patterns are already visible, but will automatically be available from November 14th. That means, everything goes online at midnight (German time). I've really dyed a lot and don't think you'll end up empty. But if there is something out of stock, then you know that there are also custom orders ;)
