Meine Lieben,

wenn ich von "blaumachen" rede, meine ich damit natürlich nicht, dass ich mir einen Tag frei nehme, nein, dann wird Wolle blau gemacht.

Heute sind drei wunderschöne Färbungen auf den Soft Socks online gegangen: Schneewittchen, Ink und Sky. Ein Trio, das perfekt zusammenpasst und nur darauf wartet, zusammen verstrickt zu werden.

Blau gibt es bei mir ja gar nicht so oft. Und ich glaube, ich muss da ein Geständnis machen. Ich persönlich mag Blau einfach nicht so. Weiß aber, dass es nach Lila die meistgefragte Farbe auf Wolle ist. Also bemühe ich mich immer wieder blaue Färbungen zu kreiieren und kann mittlerweile doch einige Färbungen im Sortiment aufweisen, die den Kundenwünschen absolut gerecht werden.

Wer es dunkler mag, kommt mit Party All Night voll auf seine Kosten. Würde gut zu Die Sterntaler passen. Und wer es mehr in Richtung türkis und petrol mag, sollte sich Turquoise pour moi und Druid anschauen. Das war es aber noch lange nicht. Scrollt einfach mal durch die komplette Soft Socks Abteilung. Die ist farblich sortiert und ihr werdet feststellen, dass Blau mittlerweile gut vertreten ist.

Und was strickt man nun mit blauer Wolle? Das habe ich mich gefragt, als ich vor meinem Kleiderschrank stand, in dem so gar nichts Blaues hängt. Und dann kam da Melanie Berg mit ihrer neuen Anleitung um die Ecke: Free Solo (erhältlich auf Deutsch und Englisch). Der würde mir in Blau richtig gut gefallen. Euch auch?

when I talk about "making blue", of course I don't mean taking a day off, no, I mean making yarn blue.

Today three beautiful colourways went online on our Soft Socks base: Schneewittchen, Ink and Sky. A trio that fits together perfectly and is just waiting to be used together in a knitting project.

Blue is something I don't have that often. And I think I have a confession to make. Personally, I just don't like blue that much. But I know that it is the most requested colour on yarn after lilac. So I try to create blue colourways again and again and in the meantime I can show several colourways in my assortment that absolutely meet the customers' wishes.

For those who like it darker, Party All Night is the perfect choice. It would go well with Die Sterntaler. And those who like it more in the direction of turquoise and teal should take a look at Turquoise pour moi and Druid. But that is by far not the end of it. Just scroll through the entire Soft Socks section. It's sorted by colour and you'll see that blue is now well represented.

So what do you knit with blue yarn? That's what I asked myself when I was standing in front of my wardrobe, which had nothing blue in it at all. And then Melanie Berg came around the corner with her new pattern: Free Solo (available in German and English). I really would like that one in blue. What about you?
