Ich habe wieder auf der herrlichen Balance gefärbt und eine kleine, aber feine Frühlingskollektion für euch zusammengestellt, die ab sofort erhältlich ist.

Hier ein paar Fakten zur der Garnbasis:

• Die Balance kommt ohne Plastik aus und ist zu 100% biologisch abbaubar! Stricken ohne schlechtes Gewissen!
• Mit einer Läuflänge von 400m auf 100g reiht sich die Balance in die Reihe der fingering weight Garne (Sockenwollstärke) ein.
• Mit nur 19 microns ist die Balance unglaublich weich! Die Wolle kann sorgenlos für Strickprojekte wie Mützen, Schals, Tücher und Oberteile eingeplant werden. Da kratzt nichts!
• Die Balance setzt sich aus 60% extrafeiner Schurwolle (Merinowolle, selbstverständlich mulesingfrei) und 40% Tencel zusammen.
• Tencel hat die Eigenschaft viel Wasser aufnehmen zu können und direkt vom Körper wegzuleiten. Das vermeidet Baktierien- und Geruchsbildung. Die glatte, kühle Oberfläche fühlt sich nicht nur wunderbar auf der Haut an, sie ist vom Tragekomfort und Glanz durchaus mit Seide vergleichbar.
• Als Handfärberin finde ich persönlich die Balance auch deswegen so großartig, weil sich die Farben auf dem Garn ganz anders verhalten und ich ganz andere Ergebnisse erzielen kann. Auf Tencel zu färben ist etwas aufwendiger, wenn man strahlende Farben haben möchte, und deshalb bin ich stolz einen Weg gefunden zu haben, dies umsetzen zu können.
• Fazit: Die Balance ist ein Ganzjahresgarn, einsetzbar für alle Projekte von Kopf bis Fuß und obendrauf auch noch gut für die Umweltbilanz - was will man mehr?

• With only 19 microns, the Balance is incredibly soft! This yarn can be safely planned for knitting projects such as hats, scarves, shawls and tops.
• The Balance is a blend of 60% extrafine virgin wool (merino wool, of course mulesing-free) and 40% Tencel.
• Tencel has the property of absorbing a lot of water and wicking it directly away from the body. This prevents the formation of bacteria and odours. The smooth, cool surface not only feels wonderful on the skin, it is comparable to silk in terms of comfort and shine.
• Being a yarn dyer, I personally love the Balance base so much because dyes behave very differently on the yarn and I can get totally different results. Dyeing Tencel is a bit more complex if you are aiming for bright colours and I am proud to have found a way to make this happen.
• Conclusion: Balance is year-round yarn, can be used for all projects from head to toe and on top of that it is good for the environmental footprint - what more could you ask for?
