I STAND WITH RAVELRY
... wenn stricken politisch wird ...
... when knitting becomes political ...

Many of you have noticed that I have been fully behind Ravelry’s decision in my stories since Monday, as I am convinced that this is an important step.
Privately I am absolutely against hate and intolerance of any kind, but I have to admit that for a long time I thought that I should not mix business and politics. I’ve often been on the verge of screaming out because I had enough and by that I mean especially the development here in Germany.
But this week I learned something great: I can do without followers and potential customers who don’t share my values. In the last days I had many valuable conversations with you, which show me that I can use my range, so that also others do not remain silent any longer. And I’m happy to belong to a community that doesn’t want to be silent.
I will continue to uphold my values, work on them, and pay more attention to how I think, express myself, and act.
Remember, everything is political, even looking away, just because you are not directly affected. And I don’t want to close my eyes or my mouth.
Thank you for reading.
