Hallo meine Lieben,

was für eine Woche! Die Idee zu Inspire me!, die ich euch Anfang dieser Woche vorgestellt habe, kommt gut bei euch an, was mich natürlich unglaublich freut. Einige posten schon fleißig Bilder in der Schibot Garne Gruppe auf Ravelry, um mich zu neuen Färbungen zu inspirieren. Mach mit, vielleicht suche ich mir ja das nächste Mal dein Bild aus!

Die erste Inspiration stammt von mir und weshalb ich mir Bohemian Rhapsody heraus gesucht habe, habe ich ja schon im letzten Blogpost erzählt. Ich hatte so viel Spaß beim Färben und natürlich lief dabei der Song rauf und runter :D

Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis unglaublich zufrieden. Das Bild hat mich zu einer sehr schönen Färbung inspiriert und eigentlich ist es schade, dass ich sie nie wieder färben werde. Aber so sind nun mal die Regeln. Die Färbung wird es nie wieder geben. Auch mit der Garnqualität bin ich sehr, sehr glücklich. Es handelt sich um eine MCN Basis, die ich nicht in meinem regulären Sortiment habe. MCN steht für 80% Merinowolle, 10% Kaschmir (cashemere) und 10% Polyamid (nylon). Und diese herrliche Zusammensetzung kommt in einem 100g Strang mit 400m Lauflänge.

What a week! The idea for Inspire me! that I introduced to you earlier this week has been very well received by you, which of course makes me incredibly happy. Some of you are already busy posting pictures in the Schibot Garne group on Ravelry to inspire me to new colouways. Join, maybe next time I'll choose your picture!

The first inspiration comes from me and I already talked about why I chose Bohemian Rhapsody in my last blog post. I had so much fun dyeing this colourway and of course I was listening to the song several times at full volume. :D

I am incredibly satisfied with the result. The picture inspired me to a very nice colourway and actually it is a pity that I will never dyer it again. But that's how the rules are. This colourway will never be dyed again. I am also very, very happy with the yarn I chose. It is a MCN base, which I do not have in my regular assortment. MCN stands for 80% merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% polyamide (nylon). And this wonderful blend comes in a 100g skein with a yardage of 400m (437 yds).
