Hallo meine Lieben,

wer die letzten Wochen brav mitgelesen hat und den Newsletter abonniert hat, der weiß, dass morgen der Tag gekommen ist, an dem die BFL Socks das letzte Mal in einem Shopupdate dabei sein werden. Ich hoffe, es ist nun das letzte Mal, dass ich das Wort Brexit erwähnen muss... Etwas traurig stimmt mich das schon, denn diese Garnbasis schätze ich sehr. Aus ihr lassen sich nicht nur herrliche Socken stricken, auch Tücher sehen mit dieser Wolle besonders schön aus, da Bluefaced Leicester die Eigenschaft hat, verstrickt besonders schön zu fallen. Und als Handfärberin kann ich sagen, dass bei diesem Garn die Farben besonders schön strahlen.

Kein Wunder, dass ich mich beim designen des Tuches Wyvern Shawl für die BFL Socks entschieden habe. Meine Version habe ich in den Farben Druid, Vigour und Finsternis gestrickt. Doch der Fantasie sind dabei keine Grenzen gesetzt. Meine Empfehlung ist es hier, sich für ein gespeckeltes, mehrfarbiges Garn zu entscheiden und die anderen beiden Farben anhand dieser Entscheidung auszuwählen. Doch natürlich kann jeder die Farben ganz nach dem eigenen Geschmack zusammenstellen. Wyvern Shawl vereint viele verschiedene Elemente - von Lace über Brioche bis hin zu einfachen Strukturmustern ist alles dabei. Langweilig wird einem da bestimmt nicht.

Who has followed the blog during the past weeks and subscribed to the newsletter knows that tomorrow the day has come when the BFL Socks will be in a shop update for the last time. I hope this will be the last time I have to mention the word Brexit... I'm a little sad about that, because I really appreciate this yarn base. Not only can it be used to knit wonderful socks, it also makes shawls look particularly beautiful with this wool, as Bluefaced Leicester has a beautiful drape when knitted. And as a yarn dyer I can say that colours of this base shine especially beautifully.

No wonder that I chose the BFL Socks for designing the Wyvern Shawl. I knitted my version in the colourways Druid, Vigour and Finsternis. But there are no limits to your imagination. My recommendation here is to pick a speckled, multicoloured yarn and to choose the other two colours on the basis of this decision. But of course everyone can put together the colours according to their own taste. Wyvern Shawl combines many different elements - from Lace to Brioche to simple texture patterns - everything is included. You will certainly not get bored.

Morgen habt ihr also die Möglichkeit bei den BFL Socks noch einmal ordentlich zuzugreifen, bevor ich dieses Garn nicht mehr im Shop habe. Vielleicht wollt ihr euch ja schon einmal Kombinationen für den Wyvern Shawl überlegen?

Da es im Shop noch einige mehrfarbige Stränge gibt, habe ich nur einfarbige Färbungen für morgen. Sechzehn verschiedene Farben insgesamt. Ganz viel Auswahl, ganz viele Kombinationmöglichkeiten.

Since there are still some speckles and multicolored skeins in the shop, I only dyed solid colourways for tomorrow. Sixteen different colours in total. A lot of choice, a lot of combination possibilities.
