SHOP UPDATE: RAINBOWS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE

Hallo meine Lieben,

 

gerade in der jetzigen Zeit, in der das Coronavirus unseren Alltag beherrscht, möchte ich euch mit Farben ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern. Also habe ich mir gedacht, dass es mal wieder an der Zeit für ein Regenbogenupdate ist! Damit das Update heute online gehen kann, musste ich wirklich fleißig sein, denn wir ihr wisst, ist gerade die Herstellung der Ministränge ganz schön zeitaufwendig - der Hauptgrund, warum es die Regenbogensets so selten gibt. Mein letztes Regenbogenupdate ist wirklich schon eine ganze Zeit her. Januar 2019! Kein Wunder, dass die Regenbögen immer so begehrt sind! Deswegen drücke ich euch die Dauemen, dass ihr euren Wunschregenbogen heute Abend ergattern könnt!

 

Heute Abend um 17.00 Uhr geht der große Rainbow Fade online. Dieser besteht aus fünf Strängen meiner Soft Socks in den Färbungen Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon und Waterfall. Den musste ich einfach wieder färben, ganz besonders deshalb, weil ich gesehen habe, dass manche von euch daraus den So Faded Pullover von Andrea Mowry stricken.

Ich selbst überlege gerade, ob ich so ein Set nicht in einen Sorrel Pulli verwandeln sollte. Stellt euch mal vor, wie toll dieser Pulli aussehen würde, wenn man ihn mit dem Mohairgarn Extraklasse in schwarz kombinieren würde! Das wäre ein echter Hingucker!

Passend dazu habe ich dann natürlich auch an den Fading Rainbow Sets gearbeitet, die dazu gedacht sind, Socken nach meiner Fading Rainbow Socks Anleitung zu stricken. Wusstet ihr, dass die Anleitung für 14 (!!!) Größen geschrieben ist? Obendrein erklärt sie dir genau, wie man Farben "faded", also harmonisch ineinander übergehen lässt. Es lohnt sich definitiv, die Anleitung auch gleich mit in den Warenkorb zu packen. Das Set mit den Ministrängen findet ihr bei den Mini Softs.

 

Das war es aber noch lange nicht. Ich habe am laufenden Band Ministränge produziert! Deswegen kann ich euch heute Abend auch endlich wieder das Rainbow Set anbieten, das ihr auch bei den Mini Softs finden könnt. Ein solches Set beinhaltet einen Farbverlauf von sieben 10g Ministrängen. Die Farben harmonieren sehr gut miteinander und lassen sich entweder gemeinsam in einem Projekt verstricken oder aber auch in verschiedenen Projekten als Kontrastfarbe einsetzen. Ich hatte daraus und einem Strang meiner Soft Socks mal das Tuch For the Love of Rainbows gestrickt (vielleicht wollt ihr es euch ja auf meiner Ravelryseite ansehen?).

 

Und zu guter Letzt habe ich auch noch Colour Pop Sets für euch! Dieses Set besteht aus sechs knalligen Ministrängen, mit denen man herrlich Akzente setzen kann. Die Idee dazu kam mir 2017, als Stephen West seinen Speckle & Pop Shawl veröffentlicht hat - den ich immer noch nicht gestrickt habe! Auch dieses Set findet ihr dann heute Abend bei den Mini Softs.

 

Zum Schluss noch etwas, das nicht mit dem Shopupdate zu tun hat. Gestern kam mir spontan eine Idee, wie wir in der Zeit, in der viele Menschen an der sozialen Isolation leiden, etwas Positives auf die Beine stellen können. Ich fände es so schön, wenn wir Wollliebhaber in der jetzigen Situation eine enge Community bilden, die zueiander halten und sich gegenseitig etwas aufheitern. Da sich die Idee noch in der Entstehung befindet, kann ich noch nicht viel dazu sagen. Aber ich habe schon freiwillige Helfer gefunden, die mich bei der Planung und Umsetzung unterstützen. Hello everybody,

 

Especially in the present time, when the corona virus dominates our everyday life, I would like to put a smile on your face with colours. So I thought to myself that it is time for a rainbow update again! I had to be really busy to get the update online today, because as you know, especially the production of the mini skeins is quite time consuming - the main reason why rainbow sets are so rare. My last rainbow update was really quite some time ago. January 2019! No wonder that rainbows are always so popular! That's why  I'm keeping my fingers crossed to make sure that you can get your dream rainbow tonight!

 

Tonight at 5 pm the big Rainbow Fade goes online. It consists of five skeins of my Soft Socks in the colourways Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon and Waterfall. I just had to dye it again, especially because I saw that some of you are knitting the So Faded sweater by Andrea Mowry.

I myself am just thinking about turning such a set into a Sorrel sweater. Imagine how great this sweater would look if you combined it with the mohair yarn Extraklasse in black! That would be a real eye-catcher!

 

I also worked on the Fading Rainbow Sets, which are designed to knit socks according to my Fading Rainbow Socks pattern. Did you know that the pattern is written for 14 (!!!) sizes? On top of that it explains exactly how to make colours"fade", i.e. how to make them blend harmoniously into each other. It's definitely worthwhile to put the pattern into your shopping cart. The set with the mini skeins can be found at the Mini Softs category.

 

But that's not it by far. I have produced mini skeins non-stop! That's why I can finally can offer you the Rainbow Set again tonight, which you can also find at the Mini Softs. Such a set contains a colour gradient of seven 10g mini skeins. The colours harmonize very well with each other and can either be knitted together in one project or used as contrast colours in different projects. I once knitted the shawl For the Love of Rainbows from this combined with one skein of my Soft Socks (maybe you want to have a look at my Ravelry page?).

 

And last but not least I have Colour Pop Sets for you! This set consists of six gaudy mini-skeins, with which you can set wonderful accents. The idea came to me in 2017 when Stephen West released his Speckle & Pop Shawl - which I still haven't knitted! You can also find this set tonight on my Mini Softs.

 

Finally something that has nothing to do with the shop update. Yesterday I spontaneously had an idea how we can do something positive in this time of social isolation. I think it would be so nice if we wool lovers could form a close community in the current situation, to stick together and cheer each other up a bit. Since the idea is still in the making, I can't say much about it yet. But I have already found volunteers to help me with the planning and realization.
