Hallo meine Lieben und ein frohes neues Jahr!

Ich freue mich, wieder bei der Arbeit zu sein und kann es nicht abwarten, euch heute zu zeigen, was ich für das erste Shopupdate im Jahr 2019 für euch vorbereitet habe!

Hier in Bayern ist es sehr kalt. Auf dem Foto seht ihr, welche Aussicht ich gerade genieße, wenn ich aus dem Fenster blicke: eine wunderschöne Landschaft, eingehüllt in Schnee. Auch wenn das sehr romantisch ist, ich habe einfach etwas Farbe gebraucht. Daher wird das Shopupdate ziemlich bunt und regenbogig werden :-)

Regenbögen sind wohl die mit am spektakulärsten Naturphänomene. Sie faszinieren die Menschheit schon seit Jahrhunderten und ich liebe all die Legenden, die sie umgeben: vom Schatz am Ende des Regenbogens bis zum Götterhaus, für das der Regenbogen eine Brücke ist. Und morgen habt ihr die Chance, einen Regenbogen einzufangen und euch nach Hause zu holen!

Ich I am happy to be back at work and cannot wait to show you what I have prepared for the first shop update in 2019!

It is very cold here in Bavaria. On the photo you can see the view I am enjoying right now when I look out of the window: a beautiful landscape, covered in snow. Even if it's very romantic, I just needed some colour. So the shopupdate will be pretty colourful and rainbowy :-)

Rainbows are some of the most spectacular phenomena in nature. They have fascinated people for ages and I love all sorts of legends that surround them, from the treasure at the end of the rainbow to the house of gods for which the rainbow is a bridge. And tomorrow you'll have the chance to catch a rainbow and bring it to your home!

Im November 2018 bot ich die Rainbow Fade Sets zum ersten Mal auf meiner Soft Socks Basis an und sie waren so schnell ausverkauft! Also habe ich sie wieder gefärbt und morgen kannst du wieder eines dieser Sets bekommen. Jedes Set besteht aus fünf 100g Strängen meiner Soft Socks in den Farben Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon und Waterfall. Insgesamt erhältst du also 500g Garn mit einer Gesamtlauflänge von 2000m. Mit einem solchen Set könnte man riesige Tücher, fröhliche Pullover oder sogar einen Rock stricken.

Vielleicht ist eine der vier Anleitungen, die ich euch unten zeige, ja interessant für euch ;)

In November 2018 I offered the Rainbow Fade Sets on my Soft Socks base for the very first time and they sold out so quickly! So I dyed them again and you will have the chance to get one of those sets. Each one set consists of five 100g skeins of my Soft Socks in the colourways Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon and Waterfall. In total you get 500g of fingering weight yarn with a total yardage of 2000m. You can use this set to knit huge shawls, happy sweaters or even a skirt.

Ein Set beinhaltet dieselben Farben wie das große Set von oben und zwar in der perfekten Menge, um ein Paar der Fading Rainbow Socks zu stricken. Natürlich kann man die zehn 10g Ministränge auch für andere Projekte verwenden. Unten sehr ihr Bilder mit weiteren Anleitungen für eine Mütze und einen Cowl, die ich mir sehr gut in Regenbogenfarben vorstellen kann :)

I also made Fading Rainbow Sets on my Mini Softs again. One set contains the same colourways as the set above and has the perfect amount of yarn you need to knit a pair of Fading Rainbow Socks. But of course you can also use those ten 10g mini skeins for other projects as well. Und weil zwei Regenbögen nicht genug sind, wird es auch das Colour Pop Set auf meinen Mini Softs wieder geben. In diesem Set stecken sechs 10g Mini Softs in den Farben Rotweinfleck, Grapefruit, Radioactive, Enchanted Prince, Turquoise pour moi und Kiss me. Knallige Farben, die sich perfekt dazu eignen, um Akzente zu setzen! Verwendet sie als Kontrastfarbe beim Sockenstricken, als Highlight in Tüchern oder schaut euch mal die Ideen an, die ich unten für euch zusammen gestellt habe. Der Fantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt!

24 neue Färbungen für 2019

24 new colourways for 2019

Hallo ihr Lieben,

pünktlich zu Weihnachten habe ich es geschafft aus den 24 Ministrängen des diesjährigen Schibot Garne Adventskalenders 24 kleine Minisöckchen zu stricken, die ich nun nächstes Jahr als Adventskalender verwenden kann. Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht zu sehen, was ihr aus den Minis gestrickt habt - von bunten Tüchern bis hin zu Quadraten für eure Decken war da alles dabei!

Das Besondere an dem diesjährigen Adventskalender war, dass es sich bei den 24 Ministrängen um 24 brandneue Färbungen handelte, die 2019 nach und nach erhältlich sein werden. Jeder, der einen Adventskalender ergattern konnte, war also einer der ersten, der meine 2019er Färbungen in den Händen hielt. Und da nun die Adventszeit vorbei ist und alle Päckchen aufgepackt sind, möchte ich euch natürlich die neuen Färbungen nicht länger vorenthalten :)

Vielleicht hilft euch die Übersicht ja schon dabei, euch schon eure Lieblingsfarben auszusuchen, euch Farbkombinationen zu überlegen und Projekte für 2019 zu planen ;)

Hello dear ones,

Just in time for Christmas I have managed to knit 24 little mini socks out of the 24 mini skeins of this year's Schibot Garne Advent Calendar, which I can now use next year as Advent Calendar. It was a lot of fun to me to see what you knitted out of the minis - from colourful shawls to squares for your blankets, everything was there!

The special thing about this year's Advent calendar was that the 24 minis were 24 brand-new colourways, which will be available in 2019. So anyone who got an Advent calendar was one of the first to hold my 2019 colourways in their hands. And now that the Advent season is over and all packages are unpacked, I don't want to withhold the new colourways from you any longer :)

Maybe the overview already helps you to choose your favourite colours, to think about colour combinations and to plan projects for 2019 ;)

I am looking forward to the coming months and wish you all a Happy New Year 2019!

Letztes Shopupdate 2018

Last shop update 2018

Hallo ihr Lieben,

morgen am Freitag habe ich um 14.00 Uhr mein letztes Shopupdate in diesem Jahr. Danach ticken die Uhren hier bei mir etwas langsamer. Der Shop bleibt zwar online, aber es wird keine Shopupdates und keine Auftragsfärbungen geben. Da ich über Silvester für ein paar Tage wegfahre und ja auch einige Feiertage anstehen, wird der Versand nicht ganz so zügig wie gewohnt sein. Am 7. Januar bin ich dann wieder vollkommen zurück!

Nun aber zum morgigen Shopupdate. Zum einem habe ich eine neue kostenlose Anleitung für euch. Im Winter trage ich sehr gerne ein Strickkleider, dazu warme Strumpfhosen und kurze Stiefel. Aber irgendetwas fehlte da immer. Also habe ich mir kurzerhand Stulpen gestrickt, um meine Schuhe etwas aufzuhübschen – und gegen die Kälte helfen sie auch noch!

Gestrickt werden die Stulpen „Pimp up your shoes“ mit den Soft Socks auf 3mm Nadeln. Für ein paar braucht man etwa 50g und ein Nadelspiel. Die Anleitung ist perfekt für Anfänger geeignet, die sich noch nicht ans Sockenstricken trauen, aber schon mal das Stricken in der Runde ausprobieren möchten.

Und da ich ja nun ein paar Tage nicht ganz so präsent sein werde, habe ich für euch Unmengen von meinen Soft Socks gefärbt – schließlich soll euch über die Feiertage ja nicht die Wolle ausgehen! Morgen um 14.00 Uhr werden also auf über 130 Strängen insgesamt 25 (!!!) verschiedene Färbungen auf den Soft Socks online gehen.

Hello dear ones,

tomorrow on Friday I have my last shop update of this year at 2pm German time. After that the clocks tick a little slower here at my place. The shop will still be online, but there will be no shop updates and no custom orders for a few days. Since I will be away for a few days over New Year's Eve and there are also some public holidays coming up, the shipping won't be as fast as usual. On January 7th I will be back in business as usual!

But now more about tomorrow's shop update. First of all I have a new free pattern for you. In winter I like to wear knitted dresses, warm tights and short boots. But there was always something missing. So I knitted some legwarmers to pimp up my shoes - and they also help against the cold!

The legwarmers "Pimp up your shoes" are knitted with my Soft Socks base on 3mm needles. For one pair you need about 50g and a set of double pointed needles. The pattern is perfect for beginners who don't dare to knit socks yet, but want to try knitting in the round.

And since I won't be present for a few days, I've dyed tons of my Soft Socks for you - because you shouldn't run out of yarn over the holidays! Tomorrow at 2pm German time a total of more than 100 skeins and 25 (!!!) different colourways on my Soft Socks base will go online.

wer mir auf Instagram folgt oder auf meiner Projektseite bei Ravelry vorbeischaut, der kann feststellen, dass ich momentan an ziemlich vielen Designideen gleichzeitig arbeite. Ich habe keine Ahnung, woher der Schub an Kreativität kommt, aber das hinterfrage ich gar nicht ;)

An manchen Dingen arbeite ich aber heimlich, still und leise. Dazu gehört der Tischläufer, der nun den Wintergarten verschönert. In der Adventszeit brauche ich einfach rote Farbakzente in der Wohnung und statt einen Tischläufer zu kaufen, dachte ich mir, ich könnte ja auch einen stricken. So entstand „Knigge“, meine neue Anleitung, die es morgen im Shop geben wird.

If you follow me on Instagram or visit my project page on Ravelry, you will notice that I am currently working on quite a few design ideas at the same time. I have no idea where the boost in creativity comes from, but I don't question that ;)

But on some things I work on the QT. One of these is the table runner, which now beautifies the table in the winter garden. During Advent I just need red colour accents in the apartment and instead of buying a table runner, I thought I could knit one. That's how "Knigge" came into being, my new pattern, which will be available in the shop tomorrow.

Für meine Version braucht man etwa 90g der Soft DK, doch die Anleitung enthält Tipps und Tricks, wie ihr den Tischläufer so abändern könnt, dass er perfekt auf euren Tisch passt. Ihr könnt ihn verkürzen, verlängern oder verbreitern, ganz nach euren Wünschen.

Das Muster selbst ist recht einfach und wird mit wenigen Ab- und Zunahmen, ein paar Umschlägen und natürlich rechten und linken Maschen gestrickt. Das Lochmuster kannst du entweder nach Chart stricken oder nach den ausgeschriebenen Anweisungen.

Die Downloaddatei ist ganze zehn Seiten lang, da sie sehr ausführlich ist. Die Anleitung bekommt ihr einmal auf Deutsch und einmal auf Englisch (jeweils zehn Seiten). Neben der Schritt für Schritt Anleitung, den Charts, Tipps und Tricks zum Abändern der Größe, wird auch erklärt, wie man das Strickstück am Ende mit dem Bügeleisen dämpft.

For my version you need about 90g of my Soft DK base, but the pattern contains tips and tricks how you can modify the instructions so that the table runner fits perfectly on your table. You can shorten, lengthen or widen it according to your wishes.

The pattern itself is quite simple and is knitted with a few decreases and increases, a few yarn overs and, of course, knit and purl stitches. You can either knit the lace pattern according to the chart or according to the written instructions.

The download file is ten pages long as it is very detailed. You will get the instructions once in German and once in English (ten pages each). In addition to the step-by-step instructions, charts, tips and tricks for changing the size, it also explains how to steam-block the finished object with an iron at the end.

„Knigge“ ist auf jeden Fall eine sehr umfangreiche Anleitung und in meinen Augen auch für Anfänger geeignet. Fortgeschrittenen wird es gefallen, dass die Anweisungen viel Spielraum lassen und man nicht nur einen Tischläufer sondern auch passende Platzsets stricken kann. Auch eine schöne Geschenkidee – nicht nur zu Weihnachten ;)

Und, habt ihr Lust bekommen, euer Zuhause auch aufzuhübschen? Dann freut euch neben „Knigge“ auch auf die vielen Färbungen, die morgen auf der Soft DK online gehen werden. Ich bin mir sicher, da ist für jeden Stil etwas dabei ;)

"Knigge" is in any case a very comprehensive pattern and in my opinion also suitable for beginners. Advanced knitters will like the fact that the instructions leave a lot of room and that you can knit not only a table runner but also suitable placemats. Also a nice gift idea - not only for Christmas ;)

And, do you now feel like making your home a bit more lovely?Then look forward not only to "Knigge" but also to the many colourways that will go online tomorrow on my Soft DK. I'm sure there's something for every style ;)

Die Farbe Blau

The Colour Blue

Hallo ihr Lieben,

wenn ihr in meinen Kleiderschrank schaut, werdet ihr eine Farbe dort nicht finden: Blau. Ich weiß nicht genau warum, aber Blau gehört einfach nicht zu meinen Lieblingsfarben. Dachte ich zumindest, denn momentan bin ich von dieser Farbe umgeben und begeistert von ihr.

Aktuell arbeite ich an einem neuen Design für einen Pullover. Wer mir auf Instagram folgt, hat dort schon einige Bilder gesehen und weiß, dass ich ziemlich aufgeregt bin, da es sich um meine erste Anleitung für einen Pullover handeln wird. Dafür verwende ich meine Merino 100% ARAN in den Farben Turquoise pour moi, Naturschönheit und Rehaugen. Diese Kombination fiel mir beim Auffüllen der Shopregale zufällig in die Hände und sie gefiel mir so gut, dass ich daraus unbedingt einen Pullover für die kalten Wintertage haben wollte.

Also setzte ich mich hin, entwarf meine Idee auf Papier und siehe da, bis jetzt scheint alles perfekt zu passen! Wann es die Anleitung geben wird, kann ich euch noch nicht sagen, aber es wird schon noch einige Wochen dauern, bis meine Teststrickerinnen und ich Resultate liefern können und ich mich dann an das Editieren machen kann. Haltet einfach die Augen offen, wenn euch dieses Design gefällt ;)

if you look in my wardrobe, you won't find one colour there: Blue. I don't know exactly why, but blue is just not one of my favourite colours. At least I thought so, because at the moment I am surrounded by this colour and enthusiastic about it.

I'm currently working on a new design for a sweater. Those who follow me on Instagram have already seen some pictures there and know that I am quite excited, because it will be my first pattern for a sweater. I am using my Merino 100% ARAN in the colourways Turquoise pour moi, Naturschönheit and Rehaugen. This combination fell into my hands by chance while filling the shop shelves and I liked it so much that I wanted a sweater for the cold winter days in these colours.

So I sat down, designed my idea on paper and so far everything seems to fit perfectly! I can't tell you yet when the pattern will be available, but it will be a few weeks before my test knitters and I can deliver results and then start editing. Just keep your eyes open if you like this design ;)

Dann habe ich mir für das kommende Jahr ein neues Notizbuch bestellt. Es ist türkisfarben, also nicht wirklich blau, aber schon außerhalb meiner gewohnten Komfortzone. Doch irgendwie sprach mich die Farbe eben doch an.

Und dann musste ich musste ich feststellen, dass man Inspiration wirklich überall finden kann. Denn ja, die Farbe des Notizbuchs hat mich tatsächlich zum Färben inspiriert und dabei sind zwei einzigartige, nicht wiederholbare ooak-Färbungen entstanden, die wirklich sehr gut miteinander harmonieren.

Diese beiden Farben könnte ich mir sehr gut für das Tuch Arinna oder Message in a Bottle vorstellen.

Then I ordered a new notebook for the coming year. It is turquoise, not really blue, but already outside my usual comfort zone. But somehow the colour appealed to me.

And then I had to realize that one can find inspiration really everywhere. Because yes, the colour of the notebook actually inspired me to dye and so two unique, non-repeatable ooak colourways were created, which really harmonise very well with each other.

I could imagine these two colours very well for the shawl Arinna or Message in a Bottle.

Natürlich kann ich euch ja nicht nur diese beiden Farben anbieten. Daher habe ich bei meinen regulären Färbungen geschaut und mir zwei ausgesucht, die wunderbar dazu passen: Villain und Druid.

Ich finde ja, dass alle vier zusammen eine herrliche Farbkombination sind, oder nicht? Vielleicht sogar für einen Pullover? Man könnte aber auch nur drei Farben davon miteinander kombinieren und daraus einen schönen Dipsy Doodle Scarf stricken.

Hach, ich muss jetzt aufhören, ich bekomme schon wieder zu viele neue Ideen :D Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall, wenn ihr morgen um 16.00 Uhr bei mir vorbeischaut!

Of course, I can't just offer you these two colours. Therefore I looked at my regular colourways and chose two that fit wonderfully: Villain and Druid.

I think that all four are a wonderful colour combination together, don't you? Maybe even for a sweater? But you could also combine only three colours and knit a pretty Dipsy Doodle Scarf.

Well, I have to stop now, I'm getting too many new ideas again :D I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at 4 pm!

BEREIT FÜR WEIHNACHTEN?

READY FOR CHRISTMAS?

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich glaube wir alle kennen das: Kaum ist Dezember, wird man panisch, weil so viel zu erledigen ist und man trotz all guter Vorsätze noch kein einziges Weihnachtsgeschenk hat. Da passiert es schnell, dass beim Onlineshoppen Dinge in den Warenkorb hüpfen, die man selbst eigentlich auch nicht geschenkt bekommen möchte.

Das richtige Weihnachtsgeschenk zu finden, ist aber auch wirklich nicht so einfach, denn schließlich will man damit ja zum Ausdruck bringen, dass man die Person wertschätzt und das Geschenk von Herzen kommt. Und was ist persönlicher, als ein Geschenk, das man mit den eigenen Händen hergestellt hat? Wie gut, dass wir stricken können!

Natürlich weiß ich selbst, dass Zeit in der Vorweihnachtszeit Mangelware ist. Wer keine Turbonadeln besitzt, wird es wohl kaum noch schaffen, rechtzeitig zu Heilig Abend die komplette Familie mit handgestrickten Socken auszustatten. Deswegen müssen wir ein klein wenig tricksen und zu dicker Wolle und Nadeln greifen ;)

Morgen um 14.00 Uhr findet ihr bei mir im Shop drei neue Anleitungen für Mützen, die mit 5mm (US 8) Nadeln und meiner Merino 100% ARAN gestrickt werden. Ein Abend, vielleicht auch zwei, und schon habt ihr eine Mütze!

Im Bild ganz oben seht ihr die Anleitung BELENUS. Die Mütze ist sehr leicht zu stricken, sieht aber mit dem Fair Isle Muster ziemlich raffiniert aus. Alles was ihr braucht, sind zwei verschiedene Farben, die gut miteinander harmonieren. Wenn du dich selbst noch nie an das Stricken mit zwei Fäden gewagt hast, ist das eine gute Gelegenheit, da das Muster nicht kompliziert ist und nur über einen kleinen Bereich der Mütze verläuft.

  • Hauptfarbe: Rotweinfleck
  • Kontrastfarbe: Naturschönheit
• grüne Mütze
  • Hauptfarbe: Woodman
  • Kontrastfarbe: Naturschönheit
• weiße Mütze

Dies ist ebenso der Fall bei CERINUS (siehe zweites Bild), der zweiten Anleitung, die es morgen geben wird. Auch hier braucht ihr nur zwei Farben und könnt im Handumdrehen eine Mütze stricken. Hier ist das Fair Isle Muster noch kleiner und leichter gehalten, peppt aber eine einfache Mütze auf. Farbtechnisch könnt ihr euch hier wunderbar austoben.

• blaue Mütze
  • Hauptfarbe: Turquoise pour moi
  • Kontrastfarbe: Kiss me
• apricotfarbene Mütze
  • Hauptfarbe: Apricot
  • Kontrastfarbe: Party All Night

Und dann habe ich noch SELENIA für euch (drittes Bild). Diese Mütze ist aufgrund des Ajourmusters feminin und zart und mit wenigen Umschlägen und Abnahmen ganz schnell gestrickt. Für diese Mütze reichen euch etwa 60g der Merino 100% ARAN - das übrig gebliebene Garn könnt ihr ja für die anderne beiden Mützenanleitungen verwenden ;)

• grüne Mütze: Woodman
• braune Mütze: Rehaugen

Selbstverständlich habe ich auch reichlich Wolle gefärbt, damit ihr mit der Merino 100% ARAN in die Mützenproduktion gehen könnt. Ganz unten seht ihr eine Collage aller Färbungen, die morgen um 14.00 Uhr online gehen werden. Ihr könnt euch ja schon jetzt überlegen, wie ihr die Farben miteinander kombinieren wollt :)

Hello everybody,

I think we all know this: As soon as it is December, you panic because there is so much to do and despite all the good intentions you still don't have a single Christmas present. So it quickly happens that when shopping online, things go into the shopping basket that you don't want to get as gifts yourself.

But finding the right Christmas present isn't that easy, because you want to express that you value the person and that the gift comes from the heart. And what is more personal than a gift that you have made with your own hands? How great that we can knit!

Of course I myself know that time is scarce in the pre-Christmas period. If you don't have turbo needles, you won't be able to equip your whole family with hand knitted socks in time for Christmas Eve. That's why we have to cheat a little and grab some thick yarn and larger needle sizes ;)

Tomorrow at 2pm (German time) you will find three new patterns for hats knitted with 5mm (US 8) needles and my Merino 100% ARAN. One evening, maybe two, and you have a hat!

In the picture at the top you can see the pattern BELENUS. This hat is very easy to knit, but it looks quite clever because of the Fair Isle pattern. All you need are two different colours that work well together. If you have never dared to knit with two threads before, this is a good opportunity because the pattern is not complicated and only runs over a small area of the hat.

This is also the case with CERINUS (see second picture), the second pattern that will be available tomorrow. Again, you only need two colours and you can knit a hat in no time. Here the Fair Isle pattern is even smaller and easier, but it makes a simple hat look clever. In terms of colours you can be very creative.

• apricot-coloured hat

  • contrasting colour: Party All Night

And then I have SELENIA for you (third picture). This hat is feminine and delicate due to the lace pattern and is knitted very fast with just a few yarn overs and decreases. For this hat you need about 60g of my Merino 100% ARAN base - you can use the remaining yarn for the other two hat patterns ;)

• brown hat: Rehaugen

Of course I also dyed a lot of yarn, so that you can go into the hat production using my Merino 100% ARAN base. At the bottom you can see a collage of all the colourways that will go online tomorrow at 2pm German time. You can already think about how you want to combine the colours :)

Solltest du zu den Menschen gehören, die immer gut gelaunt sind und nie einen schlechten Tag haben, dann ist das morgige Shopupdate vielleicht nichts für dich. Ich gehöre leider zu der Gruppe der Bevölkerung, die antriebslos werden, sobald die Tage kürzer und dunkler werden. Ich weiß, dass ich nicht alleine bin. Viele Menschen kennen den sogenannten "Winterblues" und fühlen sich dauermüde. Grund dafür ist die geringe Lichtintensität in den kalten Monaten. Fällt weniger Licht ins Auge wird das Hormon Melatonin ausgeschüttet und das macht müde. Für mehr Tageslicht kann ich leider nicht sorgen, aber ich denke, das morgige Update könnte für Glückshormone sorgen und auch eure Stimmung heben.

Auf meinen Soft Socks könnt ihr morgen Rainbow Fade Sets finden. Ein solches Set besteht aus fünf 100g Strängen meiner Soft Socks in den Färbungen Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon und Waterfall. If you are one of those people who are always in a good mood and never have a bad day, tomorrow's shop update may not be for you. Unfortunately, I belong to the group of people who get lacking motivation as the days get shorter and darker. I know that I am not alone. Many people know the so-called "winter blues" and feel permanently tired. The reason for this is the low light intensity in the cold months. If less light falls into the eyes, the hormone melatonin is released and this makes you tired. Unfortunately, I can't provide more daylight, but I think tomorrow's update could provide happiness hormones and also lift your mood.

On my Soft Socks base you will find Rainbow Fade Sets tomorrow. Such a set consists of five 100g skeins of my Soft Socks in the colourways Passion, Fervour, Madagascar, Lagoon and Waterfall. In total you have 500g yarn with a total yardage of 2000m. Fade? Weil sich diese Farbkombination hervorragend für diese Blendtechnik, die harmonische Farbübergänge garantiert, eignet. Wie das funktioniert, beschreibe ich in meiner neuen Anleitung Fading Rainbow Socks. Das Faden ist ganz einfach und macht richtig Spaß! Mit dieser Technik kann man wirklich herrliche Farbverläufe herstellen.

Bei dieser Anleitung habe ich mir sehr viel Mühe gemacht und keinen Aufwand gescheut, um euch eine wirklich sehr ausführliche Schritt-für-Schritt-Anweisung erstellen zu können. Ich erkläre genau, wie man das Paar Socken von oben nach unten auf einem Nadelspiel strickt. Und das für ingesamt 14 (!) verschiedene Größen. Die Ferse, die ich darin erkläre, ist die mittlerweile recht beliebte Ferse, die ich erstmals bei den Globetrotter Socks beschrieben habe. Eine Ferse mit verkürzten Reihen, aber ohne Zwischenrunden, die sich immer dann besonders gut eignet, wenn man für diesen Teil eine Kontrastfarbe verwenden will.

Die Anleitung eigenet sich sicherlich auch dann hervorragend, wenn du kleine Mengen an Sockenwollresten hast und diese noch gerne zu einem Paar Socken verstricken möchtest. Resteverwertung ist ja auch immer etwas Schönes, oder?

Fade? Because this colour combination is ideal for this blending technique, which guarantees harmonious colour transitions. How this works is described in my new pattern Fading Rainbow Socks. Fading is very simple and really fun! With this technique you can really create wonderful colour gradients.

With this pattern I made a lot of effort and spared no effort to create a really detailed step-by-step instruction for you. I explain exactly how to knit the pair of socks from top to bottom on a set of double pointed needles. And that for a total of 14 (!) different shoe sizes. The heel, which I explain in this pattern, is the meanwhile quite popular heel, which I described for the first time at the Globetrotter Socks. A heel with short rows, but without intermediate rounds, which is always particularly suitable if you want to use a contrasting colour for your heel.

The pattern is also excellent if you have small amounts of leftovers and would like to knit them into a pair of socks. Using leftovers is always a great idea, right?

Falls ihr die Fading Rainbow Socks mit der Originalwolle stricken wollt, dann dürft ihr euch auf Fading Rainbow Sets, die ich zusammengestellt habe. Ein solches Set besteht aus insgesamt zehn 10g Strängen der Mini Softs. Es enthält die gleichen Farben wie das große Set und die perfekte Menge, um die Socken nach Anleitung nachzuarbeiten. Auf dem Bild rechts seht ihr nicht nur das Mini Softs Set, sondern darüber auch die Maschenprobe, die ich gestrickt hatte, um zu sehen, ob mir der Regenbogenverlauf auch gefällt. Ich könnte mir diesen Regenbogen bei einem Tuch auch sehr gut mit einer dunkelgrauen Farbe unterbrochen vorstellen. Was ihr aus diesem Set macht, ist natürlich euch überlassen, aber ihr seht schon, da gibt es wieder viele, viele Möglichkeiten.

That's not all! I have received a few messages when the Bot Socks Boxes will be available again. Christmas market, lots of hats, new designs ♥

Hallo meine Lieben,

kommt es euch auch gerade so vor, dass es mit ganz eiligen Schritten auf Weihnachten zugeht? Vielleicht liegt es auch daran, das ich dieses Jahr so viele Ideen habe, die mit diesem Fest zu tun haben. Und dann stehe ich dieses Jahr noch so sehr auf Rot und will mir so viele Sachen in dieser Farbe stricken. Für den Wintergarten wäre am großen Tisch ein Tischläufer schön. Und rote Stulpen, die man zu kurzen Stiefeln anziehen kann. Aber als erstes musste eine Mütze her.

Auf dem Bild seht ihr sie, meine neue Lieblingsmütze, die ich wirklich täglich trage. Die Anleitung gibt es (leider nur auf Englisch) als kostenlosen Download auf Ravelry: Finlandia von Paige Buursma. Gestrickt habe ich sie aus meiner Merino 100% ARAN in der Farbe Rotweinfleck. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich diese Garnbasis dieses Jahr schon sehr oft verwendet habe. Kein Wunder, sie ist kuschelig weich und schön dick, wodurch man recht schnell ein Ergebnis hat ;) Ich will mir diesen Jahr ja auch noch einen Pulli stricken - oder zumindest anschlagen - und ich habe ja schon in einem anderen Blogpost darüber berichtet, was mir alles im Kopf rumschwirrt. Nun denke ich aber, dass ich mir wohl einen schicken Pulli mit dieser Wolle im Norwegermuster machen werde. Mal sehen ;)

Does it just seem like Christmas is almost upon your doorstep? Maybe it's because this year I have so many ideas that have to do with this feast. And then this year I'm still so into red and want to knit so many things in this colour. I would like to have a table runner for the winter garden, red legwarmer, which you can wear with short boots. But first I had to get a hat.

On the picture you can see it, my new favourite hat, which I really wear every day. The pattern is available as a free download on Ravelry: Finlandia by Paige Buursma. I knitted it using my Merino 100% ARAN in the colourway Rotweinfleck. I have noticed that I have used this yarn base very often this year. No wonder, it's super soft and thick, which gives you a quick result ;) I also want to knit a sweater this year - or at least cast it on - and I have already reported in another blog post about what is going on in my head. But now I think that I will make myself a nice Norwegian inspired sweater with this yarn. Let's see ;)

Aber bevor ich mit einem Pullover anfange, muss ich erst noch viele, viele Mützen stricken. Am 2. Dezember habe ich nämlich zusammen mit einer lieben Freundin, Daniela vom Stempelhandwerk, einen Stand auf einem Weihnachtsmarkt ganz in der Nähe von uns.

Bei Dani solltet ihr unebedingt mal vorbeischauen. Wir kennen uns schon seit dem Kindergarten und Dani hat schon immer gerne gebastelt. Bei ihr findet ihr wirklich besondere Geschenke aus Papier - ich bin jedes Mal begeistert!

Zum Winkelhaider Christkindlesmarkt werde ich nicht nur reichlich Wolle mitbringen sondern auch handgestrickte Tücher, Socken und Mützen. Deswegen produziere ich gerade fleißig und da es schnell gehen muss - es ist ja nicht mehr lange hin! - ist die dicke Merino 100% ARAN natürlich perfekt.

But before can start with a sweater, I have to knit many, many hats. On December 2nd, my dear friend Daniela from Stempelhandwerk and I will have a booth at a Christmas market very close to us.

You should definitely definitely check out Dani's website. We have known each other since kindergarten and Dani has always liked to do handicrafts. She is an expert when it comes to really special presents made of paper - I'm thrilled every time!

I will not only bring plenty of yarn to the Winkelhaider Christkindlesmarkt but also handknitted shawls, socks and hats. That's why I'm busy producing right now and because it has to be fast - there's not much time left! - the thick Merino 100% ARAN is of course perfect.

Mittlerweile kennt ihr mich ja und wisst, dass ich nicht immer nach Anleitungen stricke. Als ich die ersten Mützen fertig hatte, war mein Kopf voll mit vielen neuen Ideen, die ich natürlich auch gleich umsetzen musste. Für euch heißt das, dass ihr euch schon bald über neue Anleitungen freuen könnt ;)

Rechts im Bild könnt ihr die drei Versionen der Mütze "Belenus" sehen. Es wird noch weitere Anleitungen geben (wer will, kann ja mal auf meiner Ravelry Projektseite spitzen), aber das wird noch ein wenig dauern, da ich euch ja nicht nur die Anleitungen sondern auch die passende Wolle dazu anbieten möchte.

Ja, wie ihr sehen könnt, sorgt Weihnachten dieses Jahr dafür, dass ich unglaublich kreativ werde. Diesen Monat gibt es aber noch ein Shoppdate, dass so gar nicht winterlich ist (haltet die Augen offen!) und dann werde ich einen Newsletter verschicken, in dem ich euch verrate, was ich für Dezember alles geplant habe.

Meanwhile you know me and know that I don't always knit according to patterns. When I finished the first hats, my head was full of new ideas, which I had to realize right away. For you this means that you will soon be able to look forward to new knitting patterns ;)

On the right you can see the three versions of the hat "Belenus". There will be more patterns (if you want, you can have a look at my Ravelry project page), but before I can release them, I have to spend some afternoon in the dyeing studio because I also want to offer you the matching yarn of course.

Yes, as you can see, Christmas this year makes me incredibly creative. This month there's another shop update that isn't wintery at all (keep your eyes open!) and after that I'll send you a newsletter telling you what I've planned for December.

Bot Socks Sets

Ich habe mir gedacht, dass euch die Sets, die ihr rechts im Bild sehen könnt, vielleicht gefallen ;) Ein Bot Socks Set besteht aus einem 100g Strang mit einem farblich dazu passenden 20g Ministrang. Diese Sets eignen sich perfekt zum Sockenstricken, da ihr den Mini für Bündchen, Ferse und Spitze verwenden könnt. Da Weihnachten naht, sind diese Sets natürlich ein schönes Geschenk für andere Strickbegeisterte.

Da die Minis immer recht aufwendig zu machen sind, kann ich euch nicht sagen, wann ich wieder solche Sets anbieten werde. Wenn ihr daran Interesse habt, dann solltet ihr also nicht zögern.

Bot Socks Sets

I thought you might like the sets you can see in the picture on the right ;) A Bot Socks Set consists of a 100g skein and a matching 20g mini skein. These sets are perfect for knitting socks, because you can use the mini for cuffs, heels and toes. As Christmas approaches, these sets are of course a great gift for other knitting enthusiasts.

Since the minis are always quite time-consuming to make, I can't tell you when I will offer such sets again. If you are interested, then don't hesitate.

Ihr könnt bei den Bot Socks aber noch mehr Färbungen finden, wie ihr links auf dem Bild sehen könnt. Ich habe mich für herbstliche und winterliche Farben entschieden, die man untereinander auch gut kombinieren kann. Shopupdate 14. November: neue Anleitungen, viel Wolle!

Hallo meine Lieben,

endlich ist es so weit! An dieser Anleitung habe ich knapp ein Jahr gearbeitet und nun freue ich mich, dass ich sie euch endlich anbieten kann! Erstmal ein riesengroßes Dankeschön an meine Teststrickerinnen! Ohne euch, hätte ich es nicht geschafft!

Diejenigen von euch, die meinen Newsletter abonniert haben, wissen ja schon, dass ich der Veröffentlichung dieser Anleitung entgegen fiebere. Jetzt möchte ich mir etwas Zeit nehmen und euch ein bisschen mehr dazu erzählen.

Den Begriff dipsy-doodle habe ich vor einigen Monaten aufgeschnappt. Er beschreibt die Bewegung beim Hockey die man macht, um um verteidigende Spieler herumzukommen. Der Ausdruck gefiel mir sehr und ich wollte unbedingt etwas dazu designen, das diese Bewegung wiederspiegelt und entschied mich aus diesem Grund für einen großen, kuscheligen Schal mit einem Wellenlochmuster.

Gestrickt habe ihn mit meiner Merino 100% DK in den Farben Whisper, Finsternis und Kiss me. Das Muster ist sehr einfach zu stricken und definitiv auch für Anfänger geeignet. Mit rechten und linken Maschen, Umschlägen und verschiedenen Abnahmen entsteht das Wellenmuster. Der Wechsel der Farben sorgt dafür, dass beim Stricken keine Langeweile aufkommt. Es ist ein schönes einfaches Projekt und das Ergebnis is beeindruckend!

Doch die Anleitung besteht nicht nur aus dem Schal! Mit der Wolle, die euch von diesem Projekt übrig bleibt, könnt ihr euch auch noch passende fingerlose Handschuhe stricken. Wenn ihr euch die Anleitung holt, dann bekommt ihr insgesamt vier pdf-Dateien zugeschickt: Die Anleitung für den Dipsy Doodle Scarf, die Anleitungen für die Dipsy Doodle Mitts und das Ganze sowohl auf Deutsch als auch auf Englisch. Für Dipsy Doodle braucht man drei Farben und ich weiß selbst, dass es gar nicht so einfach ist, sich zu entscheiden, da es einfach zu viele schöne Kombinationen gibt! Weil ich euch eine möglichst große Auswahl anbieten möchte, habe ich insgesamt 25 (!) verschiedene Färbungen für euch gefärbt (siehe Bild unten). Die Möglichkeiten sind schier unendlich und ich bin so gespannt, wie euer Dipsy Doodle aussehen wird!

Finally! I worked on this pattern for almost a year and now I am happy to finally be able to offer it to you! First of all a big thank you to my test knitters! Without you, I would not have managed it!

Those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter already know that I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of this pattern. Now I'd like to take some time and tell you a little bit more about it.

I first heard the term dipsy-doodle a few months ago. It describes a move in hockey to get around defending players. I really liked the word and wanted to design something to reflect this movement and so I decided to make a huge, cuddly scarf with a wavy lace pattern.

I knitted it with my Merino 100% DK in the colours Whisper, Finsternis and Kiss me. The pattern is very easy to knit and definitely suitable for beginners. The lace pattern is created by knitting and purling, some yarn overs and various decreases. The change of colours ensures that you won't get bored while knitting it. It is a nice mindless project and the result is stunning!

But the pattern does not only consist of the scarf! With the yarn left over from this project you can also knit a pair of fingerless mitts. If you get the pattern, you will get four pdf-files: The instructions for the Dipsy Doodle Scarf, the instructions for the Dipsy Doodle Mitts and both of them in German as well as in English. For Dipsy Doodle you need three colours and I know for myself that it is not so easy to decide, because there are too many beautiful combinations! Because I would like to offer you as large a selection as possible, I have dyed a total of 25 (!) different colourways for you (see picture below). The possibilities are endless and I am so curious how your Dipsy Doodle will look like!

Aber halt, das war noch immer nicht alles! Denn Dipsy Doodle kann man auch mit dünnerer Wolle stricken und zwar mit meinen Soft Socks. An dieser Version hat eine meiner lieben Teststrickerinnen gearbeitet, weshalb es an dieser Stelle nochmal ein ganz großes Dankeschön gibt!

Hier seht ihr, dass einem bei der Farbwahl wirklich keine Grenzen gesetzt sind. Da Grün und Lila meine Lieblingsfarben sind, werde ich diesen Winter über wohl ständig in diesen Schal eingekuschelt sein und die passenden Handstulpen dazu tragen :) Im Shop findet ihr die Anleitung hier: Dipsy Doodle Scarf & Mitts (Soft)

Für diese Variante wurde neben Wizard und Don't be shy meine diesjährige Clubfärbung Celebration verwendet. Da es sich dabei um eine exklusive Färbung nur für Clubmitglieder handelte, ist diese nicht mehr verfügbar. Eine gute Alternative ist aber Provence, die sehr gut zu dem Grün und Lila passt.

Selbstverständlich habe ich auch hierfür Wolle gefärbt und obwohl es auf den Soft Socks nur fünf Färbungen sind, sehr ich auf Anhieb schon wieder drei hübsche Farbkombos :)

Zuletzt beantworte ich noch eine wichtige Frage: Wann geht das Shopupdate online?

Dieses Mal habe ich die Funktionen in meinem Shop genutzt. Wolle und Anleitungen sind jetzt zwar schon sichtbar, sind aber aber automatisch ab dem 14. November verfügbar. Das heißt, alles geht um Mitternacht (deutsche Zeit) online. Ich habe wirklich viel gefärbt und denke nicht, dass ihr leer ausgehen werdet. Sollte es aber dennoch so sein, dass etwas nicht mehr auf Lager ist, dann wisst ihr ja, dass es auch Auftragsfärbungen gibt ;)

But wait, that's not all! Dipsy Doodle can also be knitted with thinner yarn, my Soft Socks. One of my dear test knitters worked on this version, which is why I'd like to take this opportunity to thank her here once again!

Here you can see that there are really no limits to the choice of colours. Since green and purple are my favorite colours, I will be cuddled up in this scarf all the time this winter and wear the matching mitts of course :) In the shop you can find the instructions here: Dipsy Doodle Scarf & Mitts (Soft)

For this version besides Wizard and Don't be shy also this year's club colourway Celebration was used. Since this one was an exclusive colourway only for club members, it is no longer available. A good alternative is Provence, which goes very well with the green and purple.

Of course I also dyed yarn for the Soft Socks version and although there will only  be five colours on my Soft Socks base, I very much like three pretty colour combinations right away :)

Finally I answer an important question: When will the shop update go online?

This time I used some functions in my shop. Yarn and patterns are already visible, but will automatically be available from November 14th. That means, everything goes online at midnight (German time). I've really dyed a lot and don't think you'll end up empty. But if there is something out of stock, then you know that there are also custom orders ;)
